Target rifle or TR is the backbone of the club and has been from its formation in 1900. It is a discipline recognised the world over where the shooter supports their rifle with the aid of a sling and aims at their target with “iron sights“.  Competitions are shot over distances from 200 yds up to 1000 yds. Many of the clubs members have attained county, and National status with various success around the Globe.
